Woodland Acres

The community of Country Club borders Woodland Acres / Highlands to the northwest, while the Junipero Serra Freeway makes up the western border of Woodland Acres / Highlands; its eastern border is comprised of the Foothill Expressway.photo_6277224-1500x1000

The Woodland Acres / Highlands community focuses its attention on creating wonderful lots for residents; as a result, the amenities within its borders are few, though the location of Montclaire Elementary at its center is extremely convenient. Other public schools include Homestead High School, and Cupertino Middle, as well as the St. Simon Catholic School.

Shopping around this community is most notable on Grant Road and Homestead Road, and at Foothill Crossing and Greenhaven Plaza. However, there are also several stores within the community itself when many others do not have any shopping inside their borders. Real estate not devoted to home lots was given preference to shops like Nanoprint, Fleur De Vie Floral Designs, Mary Kay, D’Arcy Couture and Que Systems. Homestead Road intersects with the eastern border of the community, and along it are shops and dining spots like Trader Joes, Verizon, Rite Aid, Subway, Chevron and Chain Reaction Bicycles.

Montclaire Park, next to the school of the same name, and Grant Park are the nearest parks to this community. They are both very small, so residents often travel under the expressway to De Anza Park and Mango Park. The De Anza Park is Aztec themed and features a playground, as well as many picnic tables; Mango Park, on the other hand, has several lighted tennis courts and a walking path as its main features.
