The tiny community of Loyola Corners is bordered by the Foothill Expressway, the Permanente Creek, and Altos Oaks Drive, forming a triangle. Even though this community is very small, it still contains the McKenzie Park and the McKenzie Park tennis courts, and Heritage Park is located off Miramonte Avenue, which also forms a parallel border with the Permanente Creek. The headquarter building for the Los Altos School District is also located between the two portions of McKenzie Park. Besides the border streets, others in this community include Clinton Road, Manor Way, Aura Court and Aura Way. Other public schools in the greater area include Mountain View High, while private institutions include Saint Francis High, the Pinewood School, the Los Altos Christian School and the Canterbury Christian School.
The Loyola Corners Shopping Center and the Rancho Shopping Center are the two most prominent hubs of shopping in the area. Stores of the former include Beauty Gifts, Cher-Scizzors Salon, Bicycle Outfitter and Siloette. The Rancho Shopping Center is a community plaza for groceries and shopping, and it includes the Los Altos Bakery & Cafe, the UPS Store, Andronico’s Market, Bliss Beauty Center, Main Street Bagels, Just For You Florist, Preziosi — featuring custom-made designer Italian jewelry — and Wildberry Yogurt, in addition to the Syd Boutique for women and Hartman Fashions for men.
