This Cupertino community extends from South De Anza Boulevard in the east, to Linda Vista Park in the west, then as far north as Stevens Creek Boulevard and as far south as Hunters Point in the Fremont Older Open Space Preserve. It’s a very large community, even amongst neighborhoods in Cupertino which are characteristically large. Just a few of the streets include, of course, Bubb Road and Regnart Road, Columbus Avenue, Vai Avenue, La Paloma Drive, Orion Lane, Cranberry Drive and Terrace Drive. Homes in this area generally are above $1M.
First of all, this community has a secret, and that secret is called the McCLellan Groundwater Recharge Ponds — one large south of McClellan and one small north of it, both right to the east of Bubb Road. These are not traditional lakes, they do not attract visitors, and they aren’t widely known, which makes them even better. However, locals are familiar with the area and there are benches set around these bodies of water. Living in this community as a resident, you have access to these beautiful blue oasis surrounded by lush greenery that won’t be spoiled by crowds. Furthermore, the Union Park Pacific Trail runs past these ponds as well. On the west side of the community is the Linda Vista Park and the Deep Cliff Golf Course. The former is not so much focused on its playground, pond, workout areas and picnic tables, but rather the large expanse of hills and hiking paths, from the top of which residents can view the Fremont Older Open Space and the South Bay.
Both Lincoln Elementary and John F. Kennedy Middle School are located within this community. Just outside the community in Monta Vista is Monta Vista High School to the east; a short drive to the north is De Anza College. Residents have the opportunity to conveniently send their children to public education without ever moving from this community. There are no private schools in or around the community, but rather across the West Valley Freeway. South De Anza Boulevard is the nearest hub of shopping and dining when residents want to get out as well, providing a high degree of convenience.
