Cupertino, CA De Anza

De Anza Road divides this community down the middle, its southernmost point stretching to Stevens Creek Boulevard and its northernmost stretching up to Dunbar Drive. Finally, its eastern border is created by Carol Lee Drive Avenue and its western is formed by Anton Way and Cupertino Memorial Park. Only half of Cupertino Memorial Park is technically located within this community, but it is clearly the standout feature of it nonetheless. Although the two ponds have been drained due to an overcrowding of ducks, the park is still very popular for its extensive, winding paved paUnknownths, playgrounds, baseball diamond, and neighboring community center. However, the most defining way to describe this neighborhood is well-rounded.

The intersection of De Anza and Stevens Creek, in fact, marks the center of Cupertino. As such, it contains a well-rounded mix of all the elements that make for a strong community, each conveniently located. First of all, the public schools that surround the community include Collins, Garden Gate, and William Faria Elementaries; Hyde Middle and Cupertino High. The elementaries are the closest, while the middle and high schools are located to the southeast of the community. Cupertino being a well-known high net worth area, the De Anza College / Access Road community is also home to several private schools, and of course the De Anza College, which is technically located just outside its borders at the intersection of Stevens Creek and the West Valley Freeway.

To the south of the community are the primary shopping stores: Whole Foods for groceries and Target for home goods. Smaller stores that line Stevens Road include T.J. Maxx, Verizon Wireless, Staples, the UPS Store, Pier 1 Imports, and the many shops and boutiques of the Cupertino Crossroads Shopping Center. This shopping center is a well-known historic stop in the area for casual eats and services like optometry, Einstein Bros Bagels, FedEx Shipping Center and the Technology Credit Union, in addition to Starbucks and the Epris Korean Hair Studio. Though not located directly within the community, it is just below Stevens Creek at the intersection of South De Anza.
