Benjamin Bubb Elementary sits at the center of the Cuesta Park community, next to Bubb Park. This park is simple but beautiful, featuring playgrounds for the children of the surrounding homes, and green space for sports or time with the family pet. The community is actually named after the park located within the borders of the community on its south side. To the north is the West El Camino Real, the west Castro and Miramonte Avenue, the south Cuesta Drive, and finally to the east is Grant Road. Condos and homes hover around the $1M mark. Built in the 50s, the neighborhood still retains its charm, like much of the surrounding area, prominently defined by the single-story ranch home.
Besides Benjamin Bubb, the other two public schools that serve the area are Graham Middle and Mountain View High. Fortunately for parents, Graham Middle is just two blocks north from the elementary, making the youngest years of schooling convenient as can be. When it comes to shopping, things are just as convenient for residents who, beyond the obvious hub of West El Camino Real, can enjoy the neighborhood shopping center of Grant Park Plaza. Shop at Nob Hill Foods for weekly groceries, or stop by the 99 Ranch Market for hard-to-find Asian ingredients; enjoy a casual lunch at Sweet Tomatoes, and pick up a new outfit at Marshalls or enjoy a cup at the Orcha Tea Cafe and Restaurant. The Blossom Valley Shopping Center is located within the community as well and offers a different setup: an outdoor mall with shops and eateries like House of Bagels, China Cafe, CVS and Subway.
