The western border of the neighborhood is the Junipero Serra Freeway, while the western border is Fremont Avenue; the northern is Magdalena Avenue and the south is the Permanente Creek. With a name like Country Club, the defining feature of course of this community must be a country club, and it is — the Los Altos Golf and Country Club.
This country club is tucked away in the Silicon Valley hills, providing individuals and families the best golf, tennis and swimming programs in Northern California. The golf course has 18 holes which wouldn’t be complete without incredible views, not to mention a spectacular clubhouse, dedicated staff and the best in seasonal dining.
Just a few streets in this neighborhood are Arbor Avenue, Topar Avenue, Villa Drive and Terrace Drive. Lots are enormous, to suit the homes built upon them. Schools in this community include Mountain View High School, Loyola Elementary and Blach Intermediate. Shopping in this area is extensive, located on Miramonte Avenue, at the Rancho Shopping Center and at Loyola Corners as well.
Across from the Bridges Community Church is the Rancho Shopping Center, which is also the nearest hub of shopping for Country Club residents, including Just For You Florist, Andronico’s Market — a unique organic grocer with a big selection — Bliss Beauty Center, Syd Boutique, and Harman Fashions, clothing for women and men respectively. Although this center also has a few dining options like Brian’s Restaurant, the nearest true hub of dining is the intersection of the Foothill Expressway and San Antonio Road.
